After graduating from Kwantlen Polytechnic's Carpentry program and running Building Brothers Contracting for more than a decade, he rebranded the business as Oakhaven Properties, named after his best friend, his dog Oakley.
What hasn't changed: the work still goes through his hands. You're not hiring a sales team that subcontracts to whoever's cheapest. You're hiring a working contractor who shows up on your job site.

1. Free in-home consult
You get a detailed scope, a fixed-price quote where possible, and a clear timeline. No surprise change orders mid-build (unless you change your mind — which happens).
2. Design and quote
Cody is on site. Crews are vetted. Subs we've worked with for years. You get weekly updates and a single point of contact.
3. Build phase
Final walk-through, deficiency punch list closed, warranty paperwork. We stick around — most of our work comes from past clients calling us back for the next room.

Most kitchens in our portfolio run 4–8 weeks of active build time, plus 2–4 weeks of design and ordering up front. Lead times on custom cabinetry are the variable.

Yes. Many clients come to us with their own designer; many we refer to local designers we work with regularly. Both work.

We don't typically take projects under about $30k — it's not a fit for either of us. -
Yes — fully licensed, WCB-covered, and insured. Documentation can be provided before any deposit changes hands.
